Assignment Blues

Assignment period is stress period. Don't disagree, thank you. Unless you are pentium 3 or something equivalent. Sadly, according to Ryan Foo, Maggie F. is CORE i7.

Let's not talk about how bad I'm feeling right here, right now. I've just deleted a whole long rant about my frustration because I don't want to make things ugly.

We talk about something fundamental, something so basic that I don't understand why people don't come to university with - commitment.

But wait... I can tell we're all familiar with this word. Especially when it bundles with another two and becomes "lack of commitment". People lack commitment in their jobs, their relationships, their dreams... everything. And it's so common it's like asking some emo heart-broken girl why did you hook on your guy when you're not committed to him?? 90% of us can guess what she'll say: I don't know. The rest of the 10% might think she'll say: because he's good looking (which is a really !@#$%& reply).

So, to answer my own question... people simply don't know what they're doing. Or probably underestimate the importance of having a commitment. O.O...

Please don't overuse me just because I'm a Core i7, people. Please don't take my kindness for granted just because I don't explode like a bomb.

There are times when I seriously feel like crying but swallow it down anyway (there's a better reason to cry -.-").

Again, I took back all my sarcasm and sharp comments because I don't want to hurt anyone, not because I'm afraid of the consequences or have no guts. You know what I can do with my words. And you know where you stand when it comes to the assignment.

Don't tell me to not stress up or anything, because if you're not stressed enough you probably just have a person behind cleaning up your mess. Or maybe you have a soul stronger than mine. Gosh I miss Joshua at times like this lol.

I still don't enjoy group assignments. They make me feel lonely.

Well then instead of torturing myself with emotions, let me get back to work. Hopefully sem break is all rewarding.

PC Fair 08/2010



Was a blast. Minus the exhaustion.

We made big friends this time. Or you can say we spent more time talking and fooling around compared to the last. haha.

Business was kind of bad though. Despite the crowd.

I got tired from watching the sea of human alone lol.

Then for reasons that are unknown (really), the social factor exploded and we started talking to these people working with us and amazingly we got along so well! And we had a fun time together!

This is Mr. Kenzo.

Seen him before but never really talked last time. Thought he was a dead seeeerious person and all that but turned out we were totally wrong lol! He's pretty funny really. He said he should had recorded the line "DELL Laptop" and played it to save his breath lol. Then we came up with this theory about why there's no "Show Boy" XD~! The reason IS obvious.

The one beside me is Mr. Daniel.

How to put this... a P.R. student who is open enough to share about his bowel life ^^... that should explain something. Very bubbly person and he shamelessly shouted "Lenglui selling laptops!" during the fair. I wished there was a hole for me to hide. I asked Kenzo: "your friend?" lol.

Trust me when I say they're young. Man Kit was my "meal partner" and while eating I questioned him about age and... felt super old when he told me he was 16 T_T... wth all I knew about life was school and manga when I was 16 okaaaay... It's nice to bully him a bit with his gullible nature and my seniority both in life and work XD~! BUT!! All that said, don't be fooled by their seemingly-innocent faces because the udang di sebalik mee is that they curi-curi went and take pics with A ROW of show girls. Kids these days... *sigh*

One customer (shouldn't call him a customer also lah) came to me and said: "I want a slim laptop that's as slim as you" and he walked away. That considered harassment? = ="... so stupid right?

Shin was "happily" promoting our laptops with Bryant's brilliant advice to smile all the time (although it looks silly), when he saw a dark guy coming over he said "Bang mau tengok laptop yang mana" and the guy gave him a light hit and replied "Ngo Hai Tong Yan Lei Geh" (I'm chinese) LOL!!! We all laughed like never! XD

That's PC Fair for me! Sold 21 laptops. Had 3 solid days of muscle training. And made a bunch of friends. Hopefully we can meet up again in a gathering or something. Definitely had a good time working! =D

Ms. Jullian's shooting wasn't too bad yesterday. Well at least we survived. Watched the lot doing their presentation in lecture today and phew! Lucky not me. Not like I mind anyway muahahaha!

Out of my 5 story ideas, Ms. Tan picked the melodrama which in fact is just third in ranking (marks) for me to develop into a screenplay wth! Not that I don't like it, well... on second thought it might actually work better but this story seriously comes with troublesome stuffs like dream sequences and flashbacks. Plus voice-over narration. Very the challenging.

"Bella and Maria" (yes apparently that's the title for the twins horror story) got the highest score (8.7/10) and she commented it as a very interesting horror romance story. Sad enough, also as my personal favourite, it wasn't chosen so I'm putting it up for my TV drama proposal instead LOL < --- not giving up.

"Distance" is "the" designated one. Basically it's a story (I told Fanny and Rubber) about how a dying girl motivates a guy demoralized in life lah. I actually set it in Japan with the main guy's name as Kakeru lol. Inspired by "Daddy Long Legs".

Anyway, overall score is pretty good. Satisfied ♥

I previously wrote a story idea (sort of the horriee type) about twin sisters Belladonna and Marianna for screenplay assignment and I thought I could just reuse the idea here. Posted them up on FB and judging from the comments, I seem to be quite successful in scaring people off. lol. Dark vibe huhu. The other day Rubie and I were just discussing about how the both of us never (maybe seldom) wear the “阳光”(bright) type of clothes. I dunno. But honestly I do prefer to be under the moonlight than under the sun. lol.

Except if it's like a sunny day in the prairie/sunflower field with straw hats and pretty summer cottage dresses. lol.

For some reasons the training this time was... waaaaay lengthier than the last...

Like a lecture. Even with handouts lol. They freaking explained what they should had the last time we worked. Good for the newcomers lah. For us, it was like: why didn't you tell us before?

And by the way, the side comments on the handouts are freaking hilarious. You know the frustration sales people face?

LOL. I guess I understand that pretty well too. XD~!

Like when they got Zack and Kenzo to do a sales process demo Zack was a freaking mean customer. lol. Asked the salesperson almost everything and in the end he said he wanna go survey first lol.

Ini dia Zack. He was picked because he laughed out loud at the newcomers' demo.

Justin Timber (stop at Timber, no Timberlake). He's in the same team with me again.

I got bankrupt. Stupid rain got us trapped in Sungei Wang and because of that I crashed in Metrojaya Somerset Bay and the next thing I know... more than 2 and a half days' pay gone...

Though I feel so joyful looking at my collection now... T_T...

Pleasant morning, people.

I love to wake up early because if I do my day becomes longer. ;)

Despite the unwellness, I'm now at McD, Jaya Jusco Bkt. Raja using their free wifi without ordering anything. Our sad internet connection at home died out again. Duh.

This is the actually my first (worth making a record XD). And the great news here is, by being here alone I've got 4 networks to switch to as I wish. We've got McD, Starbucks, OldTown and Nando's, all at your service. Like hell yeah, they're all just next to each others lol.

Ops I just switched to Starbucks because McD's was off for a second.

I guess I'm the only one using the line, the speed is godly.

Anyway I'm still in need to complain about this flu. I hate to be not able to speak, or shout, like always. Take this morning, I felt so much like yelling at the Streamyx people (which really wouldn't help, pardon my vulgarity and irrationality) but knowing my own condition, I gave up.

I have serious sexy voice now. 周迅、舒淇 or 张柏芝？

If you've watched that video about a mum's song in my FB (incredible stuff) then yeah, congratulations to my kids because your mum can't do that now. Happy?

"My" mum just called and asked me to go back because the line recovered. But I told her I'll stay for a little more (till there's no battery) because it's not stable at home, the line.

Our lecturer said she'll show the whole class our greeting cards next week OMG. T_T

Well then, sorry but there's no great stuffs to update about today.

Thursday Fever

The health's not getting any better -.-"...

Anyway, I finished my greeting card 3am last night after a good hibernation during the day. Somewhere around 11pm the internet died out so I worked without it and planned to send the files next morning. Mana tau dia down the whole morning till I had to resort to going McD.

And this was when the spooky thing happened O.O...

Just when I was about to head out, Ruby spotted the miraculous recovery. I mean, the internet connection, not my flu.

So I happily sent our class rep the files and suddenly realized that I have nothing to do...

I, UTAR Broadcasting undergraduate Y2S1, ID number 09UJB06610, female, 19, Fung Mei Qi, am down with what I've hated most - flu.

Not Bird Flu, fortunately. A flu caught from Ruby F.

Curse my vulnerability. And her damned potency in spreading viruses. (But because I'm with halo so Ruby you're not at fault *halo*)

I swear I was completely fine yesterday until the night. I knew it when my nose suddenly got runny.

It began with a sneeze, then a sore throat, and ultimately the combination plus the headache.

Judging from how big it has gotten in this short period of time I conclude that my body immune system is not freakin' working. I strongly suggest that we quarantine her the next time she falls ill to put a stop to this sickly chain reaction that has been on-going for as long as I've lived.

I cannot eat, cannot sing, cannot breathe properly. Practically a zombie without the exam. And to make things worse, today's class was from 8am to 5pm. I started off pretty okay. It just got worse bit by bit along the way and before I knew, my head felt like exploding halfway through the day.

Why am I blogging now instead of getting the rest??

Because I'm suffering and need to let it out. It's just so bad. =X

Thank god Pikachu fetched me to the bus stand and I lucked out getting a seat in the bus packed like a sardine.

Urgh.

I feel I must apologize for whatever insensitive, nasty or non-sense comments made today, if ever. I speak my own language when I'm sick, it's been this way since young, can't help it. I see things too when it gets serious. But back in the days I used to speak illogically. Now I very much improved.

I Am With Halo ;)

For a good reason I feel less guilty when I get caught reading comics online while I'm supposed to work on assignments. Because instead of "slacking off" I would be "researching" for my story idea assignment". Heh. ;)

Yesterday I read a Korean manhwa, "Replay" and gosh, there I found the cruelest curse ever. To give a person death without a death and forever unattainable love. And should he ever obtained love, then death be delivered to his lover.

wth.

The one who got cursed should just hide himself somewhere and become a monk.

Also found a nice one called "H2O" but because the first 20 chapters were too good, the remaining 10 felt draggy and most unfortunate of all it ended up not meeting my expectation. Not to say not good... just... a little not there yet. But great story really. Read it.

I finished my 4th idea off with the long-awaited twin sisters story. Surprisingly early. And this time I finally managed to kill my female lead. Outdid myself lol. XD. Too bad it never became a real cruel one. In this case, madness is just a side of love. I still believe in the kind part of human nature. *halo* =)

Let me first say that it was my first visit and that we were expecting good stuffs from them. I mean, look at the queue, obviously they're doing good.

Nevermind the fact that our visit coincide with their "Children's Day" whatsoever and so we had to wait, wait and wait for almost everything (great test of patience), the food itself wasn't anywhere near impressive. Not to mention the portion. Very disappointing. AND my Gyu Kinoko Don was sooo late that I almost felt like cancelling the order, you know like 15 over minutes after the family finished eating??

Worst of all, when we got to the cashier (after a long queue -.-") they charged us with a totally, logically wrong amount. Over a hundred bucks for the items above, are you kidding me?? Of course in the end they sorted it out for us and we paid the real deal but while we were there, 2 freakin' customers complained about the same situation. wth. And you better not remind me of how much time they freakin' spent on clearing the mistakes.

Like Rubie said, the service they offered just made our day. Owh I hate wasting time as much as I hate wasting money and that night I did both!

People, it's equally easy to satisfy and disappoint me. They just didn't do that well for me. Wuen's testimonial on their poor services double-confirmed the fact. Even Yi Ching asked me to opt for Zen instead. Seriously, for the same price I could get better taste, portion and service somewhere else. Somewhere like Fong Lye where I can be so sure of their quality. Where I wouldn't mind queuing for.

I'm doing them good already. You don't find contents of my blog in google. *halo*

Anyway not like I'm giving them a second chance but I might still be returning since we got their Sakae Card from Citibank's voucher. But only for the 50% discount on my birthday month. And maybe other priviledges. Bah. OK, depending on the situation I'll give them another freakin' chance. *halo*

Just not the same outlet. Most probably. I'm not stupid.

Bottomline, bad first impression = bye bye business.

Well, this is all I'm gonna post. Bet your eyes are tired too. For reasons that are unknown I keep forgetting what I wanted to blog about and I swear I had no such problems a year back. It's probably sign of ageing, uh oh. My failing memory T_T...

Owwhhh I wish I could end my semester in a breeze and go for a decent holiday. Like hell, that's what all the saving is for but guess what, just when I got impressed by my own rationality to stay under tight control in Tropicana last Sunday, I spent the bucks on sales items in Jaya Jusco yesterday... all thanks to the "rationality" I hold so much pride in. Yeah... guess I don't need to explain further...

Why the hell did we go hit McD for breakfast in the first place?? =X

Meh... must first work hard this semester to make up for the CGPA... so that I don't feel bad during the holiday.

Watched "She's All That" with Rubie yesterday. Old old movie we watched together before in Brunei with Anthony. Liked the theme song "Kiss Me" by Sixpence None The Richer very much, like our all-time favourite. Rubie thinks the guy's cute, but you know how old he is now haha. Still looking good, don't get me wrong. But for me he only got me at the ending part where he danced with the girl in his suit. lol.
