I was expecting nothing more than normal greetings and lectures from the teachers today as exam week is near. But it turned out that I was wrong. We were informed about the increase in cases of truancy in Klang and that the educators have vowed to take drastic(?) measures in order to curb the problem. Well... at least that's what they said...
And the result of it...? The Educational Department of Klang proudly presents...
The one and only
Pasukan Anti-Ponteng!!!
Bwahahahahaha~! I just can't stop myself from laughing my head off XD~
Wait, it's not a joke, I'm serious about this... I mean, the school authority is serious about this... The so-called Pasukan Anti-Ponteng (that sounds like the greatest joke on Earth) does exist. I'm not kidding... it's really, really silly... My imagination just can't stop growing...
One day, a stranger knocks on the door...
stranger: Hello my dear, mind to open the door?
FMQ: Mum says it's dangerous to entertain strangers...
stranger: Actually I'm not a stranger... I'm a member of the PAP...
FMQ: I see... do you come to look at the water paips?
stranger: No... I came to check on a student by the name of Fung Mei Qi...
FMQ: Bad news, you probably got the wrong address. [slams the door at his nose]
stranger: I know you're in there, surrender or we'll break in by force. [shouts and reveals a pistol]
Okay, I know it's a bad story... and they can't possibly catch people inside the house... but hey, I can't help suspecting the effectiveness of their plan... According to the PK-HEMs, there are suppose to be patrols (police and blah) around the area of the school to catch students who play truant but here's the question, are those people really doing their job? If they were, there wouldn't be any problem by now. And are you telling me that you are expecting them to do their job this time? Sorry but I don't think I trust them.
Anyway, there isn't much to talk about since I too, play truant sometimes. But the good thing is, I stayed home all along so they have no chance of catching me or even spotting me around. To tell the truth, I wrote about the PAP not because I objected the idea of it. Actually... I just needed more space to laugh at it because... it's... errr... funny in the sense that:
1. I've heard of Anti-Dadah/Anti-Rasuah but Anti-Ponteng...?
2. It doesn't work on people like me.
Okay okay, I don't have much reasons to support my view that the Pasukan Anti-Ponteng is 'funny', and I don't know why but it sounded so funny to me I nearly rolled on the floor laughing during the school assembly this morning. But I did not because I have to care for my image so the only way left for me to express my feelings is to blog on the topic. Maybe it's just me over-reacting, it's kind of abstract I can't explain why I am drawn to the funniness of the Pasukan Anti-Ponteng.
The person who initiates the formation of the team would definitely strangle me to death if he/she sees this post. I'm going to take my leave before I got caught in a hot soup so bye bye. I'll be back after some time cause exam is due next week and I have no time to amuse myself anymore.
Honestly, do you find the PAP funny too?
Oh yea and one more thing, in case you don't know, PAP = People's Action Party in Singapore
updates (12/9/2007):
Kwang Hua students were caught by the PAP in cyber cafes!! The school authority is seriously serious about this!!! Okay... so what if they are... In other countries, problems are usually solved when 'drastic actions' are taken. In contrary, when so-called 'drastic actions' are taken in our country, problems seem to get even bigger and complicated. I can't help being skeptical about their plans. Most of them failed to work big time.
I'm not saying that the educational department is wrong! I'm just telling the truth.
