Very regretful I'll say. Very regretful (Yeah I don't have to say it twice).

I met up with Maria and her friend, and together with Ruby we watched the people do the cultural dance. A lot of people came with big cameras, and because the stage was high, we couldn't capture very good pictures. And the people who stood in front of us happened to come up with this good idea; which Ruby and I giggled at:

Brilliant idea, isn't it? 2 big guys at work.

And this is to show you how crowded the place was. Sea of human.

And guess what? For some reasons, I got dragged into the circle dance with the crowd. lol. And I was so lousy compared to Maria and Ruby. No dancing for me in the future. =X Still, it was a good experience for me. I bet I looked super silly in the dance. lol.
Then we went to the food stalls.
I walked around and without realising it, I lost Maria. Ruby bought herself Soft Shell Crab Temaki and stopped to eat. I continued walking and Ta-da! I became alone. See people? To hide a tree, use a forest.
There was a lot of good food, but great thanks to ulcers, I didn't get to eat no nothing at all. Actually, I did get to eat a little. Just... too little to satisfy my appetite... I got myself Macha ice-cream because it won't hurt and that was all I bought for the whole trip. While I walk alone with the ice, a guy bumped into me and in front of a lot of people, the whole cup of double-scoop cream dropped onto the ground and splashed all over my legs and pants. The guy never apologise, how nice of him. Felt so irritated lah. Some people stared at me too.
I went to a corner to tidy up and continued walking. While I was walking again, some people was calling Pssk Pssk somewhere near me, I turned around and saw a group of guys - younger than me I pressume. Suddenly they became all nervous and I heard them saying: "Oh no she looked back, look at what you all did!" LOL.
I have this feeling that you'll get bullied if you walk alone. lol... Let's not get separated from the group next time.
Anyway, I saw many Japanese kids in yukata. Too bad I didn't get to take any pics with them. Will do so next year and yes, I must go next year, for the FOOD!! For food I will go even if I have exams and need to study! I swear! lol. Nah, depends on the importance.

Dad's catch. Ate a little when I got home.

My favourite beeeeef balls! And they are painfully delicious! T.T
Argh.
Sorry to Pikachu because I didn't buy her anything. It was pretty late when I got there and while I hesitated, the very few goods left got sold out. lol. Sorry!
Few tips for people who wanna go Bon Odori next year (from Ruby):
1. Get a mask if you can't stand dust and smoke. It's super duper... yea you know.
2. Never wear heels. First, they're not allowed on the dance floor and second, we guarantee that you'll need to walk a lot.
3. Go early for parking space, unless you want to park 1 or 2km away like the late-comers.
4. Don't wear yukata if you really want to have fun.
But well really, I'm thinking of getting a yukata! But if I wear it, I'm seriously not going into the crowds. Next year, I will go early and snatch all food, then picnic on the spot. Serious. I will also not go with mum and dad. lol. But I'll buy them food.

Jack Bezarius <3!
p/s: There were lots of pretty girls! And guys too. lol

Hi! Hope you don't mind me commenting, as you don't know me x3
It's so sad that those things happened to you... Just a little bad luck. I agree with your high heels and mask tips, definitely. But I think even if you're wearing a yukata, you'll still get to have lots of fun. I know I did! It was my first time going BO and wearing a yukata =D
Don't worry, I don't mind. =)
I believe the tips themselves are rather personal and subjective so, it depends. Anyway, just that sis and I don't like to worry about having to tidy up our attires everytime we move cause yukata is quite limiting to us.
But someday we'll turn up in yukata(s) so... yeah we'll find out. lol!
zannen desu ne... :(
but really..too many ppl lar..can't walk in groups if want to buy food lol..
and also, that's the first time anyone complimented on my dancing lol ^^
