Holiday Mood

I freakin' watched 12 episodes of Prince of Tennis Live, Chinese version.

And I freakin' think the Chinese Ryoma is cute.

=.="...

Apparently... he was also in Zhang Yi Mou's Curse of the Golden Flower, the one with Gong Li and Jay Chou. And he looked like this:

...........

That's out of the topic anyway.

I think the Chinese version is doing pretty OKAY except for the part where they practically modified everyone's personality which seriously annoys the hell out of me especially when it comes to Ryoma because he's supposed to be so kawaii and the drama made him a complete snob.

Kaidou's supposed to be a soft person with a hard cover but in the drama he's just one hell of an annoying brat, seriously. Tezuka's not supposed to smile and laugh so easily and Inui should make his juice, Oishi should be... more motherly and Kikumaru shouldn't be so insensitive. I can see pass the way-too-young Ryuzaki sensei but... the most obvious of all... Fuji!!! Why is our calm, reserved prodigy yelling at people all the time!! @@!!

Ahhh and they also set the story in university level instead of in junior high like the anime & manga, which... is actually a smart move considering the actors' *cough* age range *cough* ...

The boys are cute together, just the focus of the story running here and there. They should stop the portrayal of Ryoma as a troubled genius because obviously he's not. And things that ruin the original mood of the story like objection from Kawamura's father and Fuji's problem with his brother etc. Though I understand they were trying to make the story more realistic...

For now, I'm gonna switch to Seito Shokun until I feel like watching it again lol. OMG the Japanese version of Ryoma in Seito Shokun. o.o!!
