It's the big day for Lisa, and for us --- the 'sisters' (姐妹 a.k.a. 'ji mui') as well.
To avoid unnecessary elaborations I will thus ignore the details about wedding traditions & stuffs and get straight into the point. Oh well, if you're reading this you're most probably chinese so don't call yourself a chinese if you cannot understand the rest.
We, 'ji mui'(s) were actually quite excited about the whole thing. The fact that we were able to pull pranks on a bunch of men [a.k.a. 'heng dai'(s) <-- 兄弟]， was one of the most motivating thing. We arrived rather early at the bride's house to prepare up, this and that. But in reality, we were just like a gang of young girls fooling around. Did we help out or did we just curled up in a corner for talks??
Oh and of course, we also ended up taking loads of photos while others are working like bumblebees. After all, we set a theme for the day. We had decided to put on white clothings in a gathering earlier. It was such a delight to see everyone looking so gorgeous in their own white suite.
When we heard the unexpectedly loud honking sound from the outside, everyone chicken-ran. We knew that the bridegroom and his 'heng dai'(s) were here already. We quickly locked ourselves (and of course the bride) in the room and remained quiet while having our ears stucked on the door.
It's going to be too lengthy if I'm going to tell the whole story. So anyway, we were actually more excited than the bride herself. We kept laughing secretly at the guys outside and gave naughty ideas. At a point, we were so afraid that the guys might just break in (BANG!) and were defending the door LOL.
So in the end, the bridegroom got her bride, and the ceremony thingy went on --- without us who were hiding/chilling in the room due to the heat and smoke. After that we rode on the 'heng dai'(s) car to the bridegroom's house for err... stuffs like that. I'm honoured to ride on a Honda XD~!
From that point onward, all I felt was sun and heat. We sweated, sweated and sweated. Imagine a bunch of girls in white fanning themselves using any object available on grab.
I nearly reached my limits when we finally settled everything and was ready to go. The heat was all I remembered from the whole afternoon!!
Nevertheless, it was undeniably a splendid experience! It's my first time attending to a bride and I never knew it was that much work!! Thanks to the heat, it was indeed a white summer!!
